I’ve spent seven days beaming with pride and Claire is super-excited. The preview copies of her book, Fun Music Warm-Ups, arrived from the printer last Monday.
The book looks fantastic. And I’ve seen just how much creativity, hard work and thought has gone into it over the past couple of years.
Fun Music Warm-ups is a beginner rhythm book packed with short games and activities, designed to fit into instrumental music lessons.
The games are great fun and the book is beautifully illustrated with animal characters.
Claire’s written it as a useful resource for teaching rhythm and livening up lessons when beginners can only play a few notes.
Children enjoy Claire’s games and activities in their lessons. Right now a diverse mixture of music teachers, whose opinions we value, are looking at preview copies of the book.
Quite a few recipients of our tips for music teachers and email newsletters asked to be “beta readers” and have been sent free preview copies. We really appreciate their interest in taking a look and giving their feedback. We’re thrilled with their comments so far.
The book is due to be published in autumn. Watch this space! Or join our email list via our “29 tips” here to be first to hear about the book when it’s available.
