Claire and Jamie are the team behind Your Music Teaching Success and our company name is our mission.
We want to help your teaching business to thrive – and to help you give music lessons that you – and your students – thoroughly enjoy.
We’ve combined our experience in running a successful music teaching business, creating music learning resources, effective marketing for small businesses, communications and business mentoring to launch Your Music Teaching Success – bringing you the fruits of our experience plus practical advice, resources and more.
Claire Chadwick has taught students of all ages and abilities for over twenty years: running her own teaching practice, and teaching in schools in London, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Sheffield.
Jamie Veitch is a business and communications consultant who has been described as “one of the UK’s top-ten business mentors.” He has worked with hundreds of businesses, social enterprises and charities, helping them achieve their goals and communicate their successes.
More about Claire and Jamie:

Claire Chadwick trained at the University of Sheffield and Trinity College of Music in London, gaining MMus, BMus and PG Cert qualifications in music. Her experience involves teaching individual and group lessons, giving demonstrations and ensemble and string orchestra coaching.
Claire’s performance experience includes playing solo and in duo, ensemble and orchestral groups. She’s performed recitals, world premieres, concerts and on recordings and has played at venues and events all over the UK.
Students thrive when they learn to play an instrument with Claire – here’s what one parent said: “An accomplished musician herself, Claire has given my children the confidence to play their instruments well and with real passion. They both love their lessons, looking forward to them each week. And she has even managed to get them to practice with enthusiasm, what more can I ask for?!”
Claire has created extensive resources to benefit her students during her teaching career. She continued to hear parents, students and other music teachers alike all praise her teaching resources. Claire realised that the material that she has carefully developed, using tried and tested methods, could be of great value to other teachers.
Claire teaches violin, piano and guitar to children and adults; she also developed an “early music programme” with lively, engaging lessons for the very young. She enjoys playing a variety of instruments and a diverse range of music – and exploring the wonderful live music scene in Sheffield.
Claire loves walking, writing, wildlife gardening, drawing and is frequently gobsmacked by nature. She loves chocolate so much it has to be banned from the house except at weekends.

Jamie Veitch has run a division within a PLC, launched and ran a magazine publishing company, and has been consulting with a variety of small businesses since 2010. Jamie’s clients engage him directly, and he’s mentored businesses and given workshops and lectures through Universities too.
He has a particular specialism in media, marketing and communications – and has secured widespread coverage for clients in media including The BBC (television and radio), numerous national and regional newspapers, lifestyle and trade press, and elsewhere. Jamie presents a weekly business programme on an FM radio station in Sheffield. And he has helped Claire with effective marketing of her music teaching business.
Jamie plays piano (badly), guitar (even worse) and sings (until threatened with violence). He loves rock climbing on the limestone and gritstone cliffs of the peak district, ludicrously strong coffee, dark chocolate and casseroles (perhaps washed down with a spicy red wine or a pale ale).
Claire and Jamie live in Sheffield with one teenager, two cats, and an indeterminate number of books. The teenager plays guitar. The cats sometimes dance on the piano.
