Merry Christmas! Well done, music teachers, for bringing happiness, musical development and inspiration to students, despite another year of challenges.
You are a gift all year round, and you have made life better for lots of people this year. This is no mean feat in the circumstances.
As a teacher, I have also been heartened by the tenacity, enjoyment and achievement of students and the thought and kindness of people everyday.
With this in mind, we’re giving Christmas donations to some fantastic organisations, daily making a difference to people’s lives and the world. They include:
- The RNLI, the charity saving lives at sea.
- S6 Foodbank, feeding 1000 people a week from nine locations.
- Orchestras for All’s Music Changes Lives campaign, which aims to change the lives of young musicians across the world who otherwise face barriers to performing within an ensemble.
- Ecosia, the world’s leading planter of native trees, planting trees for wildlife, climate action, to empower women, for clean water and to save endangered species.
They are all exceptional so if you are looking for any organisations to support in the future they’re worth thinking of.
Thank-you to all website visitors, book buyers and readers of our Your Music Teaching Success emails. We hope you have a lovely, restful and relaxing Christmas and New Year.
Best wishes,
Claire and Jamie
