Claire Chadwick trained at the University of Sheffield and Trinity College of Music in London, gaining MMus, BMus and PG Cert qualifications in music. Her experience involves teaching individual and group lessons, giving demonstrations and ensemble and string orchestra coaching.
Claire’s performance experience includes playing solo and in duo, ensemble and orchestral groups. She’s performed recitals, world premieres, concerts and on recordings and has played at venues and events all over the UK.
Students thrive when they learn to play an instrument with Claire – here’s what one parent said: “An accomplished musician herself, Claire has given my children the confidence to play their instruments well and with real passion. They both love their lessons, looking forward to them each week. And she has even managed to get them to practice with enthusiasm, what more can I ask for?!”
Claire has created extensive resources to benefit her students during her teaching career. She continued to hear parents, students and other music teachers alike all praise her teaching resources. Claire realised that the material that she has carefully developed, using tried and tested methods, could be of great value to other teachers.
Claire teaches violin, piano and guitar to children and adults; she also developed an “early music programme” with lively, engaging lessons for the very young. She enjoys playing a variety of instruments and a diverse range of music – and exploring the wonderful live music scene in Sheffield.
Claire loves walking, writing, wildlife gardening, drawing and is frequently gobsmacked by nature. She loves chocolate so much it has to be banned from the house except at weekends.
